Glad I'm not in Michigan...

I talked to Mike today and apparently it's really cold in Ann Arbor, so I'm not regretting my decision to live in North Hollywood. :) Some people say they couldn't deal with the LA traffic, and that they need all four seasons, and blah blah blah. I got in my car today and didn't have to scrape off any snow or let it warm up, and that's plenty good for me. If I want snow I can drive a couple hours to the mountains and have snow, and when I'm done I can drive back to my apartment and change back into a pair of shorts. The weather was beautiful today, and that's worth the extra cost of living to me. Anyway, since Mike thanked me for introducing him to matcha tea, I'll have to thank him for introducing me to QUINOA, the king of the grains. Those of you that know me know I can be a bit of a health nut, and quinoa is amazing! It tastes great, and is a healthier alternative to the other grains such as wheat and rice. It contains complete protein, which means it provides all 8 essential amino acids. You can find it in most healthy grocery stores such as Whole Foods and Trader Joe's. It's also gluten-free, for those of you that have a gluten-intolerance like myself. Keep checking in, new song up soon. Leave comments and let us know what you think about the blog so far. Till next time... -Philly TR

Quinoa is excellent. I thought my brother and I were the only ones who enjoyed it, but I guess not. I am very eager to hear where you four have taken Taproot. Blue Sky Research is easily one of modern hard rock's best records so naturally I'm stoked for the new one. And thanks again for going Go-Karting in Seattle a couple years back!

I just love your blogs! Especially that personal stuff, like talking about Quinoa and tea - I always thought being a rock star is all about sex & drugs & rock'n'roll, but you guys seem to have a different definition and that's just awesome =)
Btw, I also love Quinoa...I've been a vegetarian for several years and so I had to deal with alternative food ;o)
And still YAY for the new song - can't wait to hear it!!!

I really like the new blog and the fact that it has you guys more talkative. I'm really curious as to what the new song(s) will sound like. They sounded great from what I've heard from TaprooTube but, I'm guessing that's nothing compared to what's to come. Hope guys find a good record deal soon so we can hear more awsomeness that is Taproot.

Yo Phil, I gotta ask you. Who are you taking in the Silva/Henderson fight tonight?

I'm going with Silva but I cannot count out Hendo, he's so dynamic and his skill set is just so superb.

Otherwise I am gunning for Tanner, although it's gonna be an uphill battle for him, and Arlovski, Sakara, Kongo, Sanchez, Hazelett, and Gurgel.

Since you have a gluten intolerance you may want to try Redbridge beer. It is the first and only gluten-free beer mass produced in the U.S., and is made with Sorghum rather than wheat and barley.

Have you taken psyliium husks mixed with water??

Very effective stuff. Its been a great fiber for me and reduced my appetite. Taking it a couple times a day makes me feel good AND I NOTICED that it has a good effect on my throat and voice.

Mix some in water and let it set for a few minutes before drinking to experience the effect on your throat. It absorbs the water more and more each minute you let it sit.
